What is Gym Strip?

To help clarify to the student body what is acceptable gym strip for active participation in your Physical Education class, this page provides examples of what is acceptable and what is not, as well as an explanation describing why. If you have any questions/concerns please speak with your teacher.

Click on each picture for a description of why the piece of clothing is, or is not acceptable for PE strip.

NOTE: Wearing gym strip is an “all or none” idea, in that to be deemed as one wearing gym strip you would be wearing 0 pieces of clothing that are considered “NOT GYM STRIP”.

ACCEPTABLE GYM STRIP

Footwear:

Athletic/Running Shoes Tube/athletic socks

Lower Body:

Track Pants/Athletic Pants/Yoga Pants Athletic Shorts

Upper Body:

Athletic Shirts T Shirts

NON ACCEPTABLE GYM STRIP

Footwear:

Flip Flops/Hiking Boots/Sandals


Boots

Lower Body:

Jeans/Cargo Pants/Skirt/Dress/Casual Shorts

Upper Body:

Jackets (unless we are outside)
